We visited Nyeri Museum in our annual tour and kids learnt much on the mau mau history. The new museum which is put up on the former colonial court that prosecuted Kenyan Freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi is a great source of history for the Kikuyu people in Kenya but with very minimal visitors per day as they are not even aware of what the museum has to offer and how significant it is to the history of the freedom fighters.
As African cities grow and more people migrate to the cities then farming is becoming a thing that city dwellers need to learn. Kenya for example has now made Agriculture as part for education but how do children in the cities do practical learning. Gifted Kids took children to Hydroponics Africa to learn more on hydroponics farming a project funded by Via water in the Netherlands.
